Custom Teak Carvings
You will find many amazing hand carvings on this cruiser. In the main salon are two large East Asian Dragons lighting the sun between them. They traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, typhoons, and floods foretelling fair winds and following seas to come. Two large hatches give ample lighting and ventilation.
V Berth Door
The carving on the V Berth door is a depiction of the Vagabond 47 herself.
Starboard settee and table
The starboard settee pulls out to make a double berth. The table folds for a single panel compact use, or folds out to accommodate 5 crew.
Teak and Holly floor boards are throughout the boat.
The Port settee is a single berth with large storage lockers under the bench and behind the back cushion.
Chart Table / Navstation
The navstation / chart table is a full sit down area perfect for paper charts or laptop work. The electronics include Raymarine RL80C 10.4” color radar / differential GPS chart plotter display; Raymarine ST60 Graphic display; ICOM IC-M602 DSC VHF; Link 2000 digital energy control remote panel; Iridium SAT phone external antenna connection; DB9 serial interface with the GPS for laptop; 12V and 110V breaker panel; Shore power / Generator panel; Aqualarm high bilge alarm and pump counter; Nav Light; and ship’s clock.
Starboard Quarter Berth
The starboard quarter berth is currently used as a storage and workbench area, however could be easily converted to another cabin berth.
A Newport wood / charcoal heater takes the chill off higher latitudes.
